Why should I 'Dry Run' my email batch before sending it out 'Live'?

When I make an email campaign and go to send it, it is ticked as 'Send as Dry Run' as default, why is this and why should I 'Dry Run' it?

When you select the Dry Run option for an email, the system will create the email/s but not actually send them out. Instead, they sit in the Campaign waiting for you to "release" them.

The great thing about that is that you can check all / any of your emails to make sure they look and work exactly as you are expecting them to.  If there is a bug / problem, you can delete the the campaign and start again, without having done any damage with your target email recipients.  Of course, if you are 100% confident then you don't need to use the Dry Run.

That just goes to show you never can expect what's least expected most.

This is my EOI.  I have not added any special formatting.  No bullet, no tabs, no number lists or tables.  Just a few para breaks.

Great thank you Chris!

So if I am happy with my Dry Run, do I need to go through setting up my batch again (but as a 'Live' batch)?
