I've run into an issue creating a data source to list contacts in a group. I know this is relatively simple so I'm expecting I've done something wrong:
I've made a new data source of type "Associations"
Set the source object to be group
Set the association type to be children (as contact is child of group)
After these steps I can't select contact to be the destination object - I'm only allowed to select mailing list contact (which is where contact inherits the association from)
If I pick mailing list contact as the destination object then my data source will successfully list all the contacts in a group, however it would also list all mailing list contacts - and more importantly I can't access any of the contact exclusive properties in a grid using this data source
