Overview 

User accounts can have up to 4 email addresses;

  • Primary Email
  • Secondary Email
  • Primary Work Email
  • Secondary Work Email

So, in order to send a system generated email to a User Account, XPOR uses a Default email address. This is taken from one of the four email addresses that the User can add (as above).

Setting the Default Email address

Setting the Default Email address is performed automatically by XPOR, using the potential email address list explained above.

  1. The Default email address is automatically set to the Primary Email address
  2. If the user has not added a Primary email address, then XPOR will use the Primary Work Email Address
  3. If the user account neither has a Primary email address nor a Primary Work email address, the Secondary email address will be used as the Default email address.
  4. If the user account neither has a Primary nor Secondary nor a Primary Work email address, the Secondary Work email Address will be used as the Default email address for the account.

Password Reminders

XPOR provides a log in atom, which can added to a web page and set to allow users to request password reminders be sent to them by email. To do this the User can either type in their User Name or their Email address. If the user chooses the Email address option, XPOR will search for a matching email address in the four available options above, and will send the reminder email to the Default Email address of the matching account.

Note, Password reminder emails will take precedence over campaign queued emails, in the Email Campaign Manager.
