The Beneficial Foundation, a charitable organisation helping people with learning disabilities, requested our help to "fill a few seats on their Dragon Boat team at the 2017 Portsmouth Dragon Boat Festival, held on 14th May 2017 in Portsmouth.  Four members of the XPOR team were duly "pressed" into service!

Being a Software development company, we consider ourselves highly trained at sitting on seats - the first pre-requisite.  And we soon conquered the instructions - "GO!", "ONE-TWO-ONE-TWO..." and "STOP!" So it was of little surprise that the Beneficial Foundation boat stormed to being the 6th fastest boat on the day (out of 28)!

What was surprising was that they beat another XPOR Licencee - Team Britannia.  This inspirational bunch of people had their best time narrowly pipped by the Beneficial boat. 

And there must be something to this dragon boat racing - most people left the event burnt ... sun burnt!
